One of the main deciding factors for Kenyon Zero Storage Pasco was our customers' needs and the access to major freeways, sea ports and airports. The Pasco facility has quick access to US 395 which will lead to I-82, I-84, I-90 and US 12. The facility is also only a three-hour trip to the Seattle and Portland sea ports for import and export containers and 10 minutes to the Tri-City airport.

The location was also decided by the number of existing processors in the area and the distance from the crops.

The Pasco Facility was completed in August of 2014 with 205,000 square feet and six truck dock doors. The first phase was built with 3 separate rooms with the ability to change a room from frozen to refrigerated, if the demand changes.

The building was constructed using IMP (Insulated Metal Panels) type construction for energy efficiency, along with LED lighting. The heart of the building lays with our state of the art refrigeration controls and energy efficient ammonia refrigeration system.

The demand in the Columbia Basin was so great that in March of 2015, Kenyon began building the second phase of the Pasco warehouse. This phase added an additional 205,000 square feet with five additional dock doors and rail access.

Kenyon continued the energy efficiency initiative with the second phase by continuing with the IMP design and LED lighting. Our rail access is served by BNSF Railway with the ability to spot five jumbo cars in doors.

The second phase also added more steel racking for handling of case goods, non-stackable product, and smaller batches of product.
